When I visited, GT and his friendly staff were busy as usual. They try hard to keep the place attractive, clean, and business-like, and potted plants show their awareness of neighborhood appearance. They have a brochure listing their services.

Another new AVNA Business Member is Timo’s Coffehouse, one of AVNA Members’ favorite hangouts and eateries.Co-owners Tim Guillen and Peter Calpagno have been at their 2021-1 San Pedro address for about two years now and have gained quite a following: they’ve been written up in Texas Monthly, San Antonio Current (June 2005), The Express-News (August 2006), San Antonio Womens Magazine, and Bravo San Antonio (February 2007). All admire the home-made sandwiches, soups, and desserts, as well as the serious but comfortable jazz in the background. Local art on the walls changes about every two

months, and when I visited in late February they featured many works by folks who can be seen at art166 and Whittlesey Gallery on McCullough Avenue.Tim is always there (long days!), and they’re open 8:00am to 10:00pm Monday through Friday, and 10:00am to 4:00pm on Saturday. They also do catering and can be reached at 210-733-8049 or email at timoscoffe@sbcglobal.net.
