$10.00 A Year Membership

It is a well-known fact that neighborhood associations are the driving force behind our city leaders and government. These last several years there has been a marked communications improvement with elected and appointed officials. The days of begging and pleading and door slamming by city staff are gone. Organized neighborhoods can have a direct impact on the direction our government takes. Association representatives are now witnessing an open mindedness and willingness to take on neighborhood issues with creative approaches and partnerships.

Alta Vista, while not a mandatory association, is regarded as a strong, innovative and well-run organization and a model for other associations. Alta Vista’s hard work is performed by a strong group of dedicated neighborhood representatives. However, this association cannot function without membership support.

Membership is the key. There are more than 1,000 households in our neighborhood and each of them receives the hand delivered newsletter.  Anyone in the city who has Internet access can view our website. It is time to do your part in keeping the momentum going, it’s time for you to get involved, and it’s time for you to say you support the work of this association by joining.

Dues are used mainly to pay newsletter printing and mailing costs, downtown-parking reimbursements to members attending meetings, awards, landscaping and graffiti abatement supplies.

Household dues are only $10.00 per year and Business Dues are $20.00 per year and include one advertisement in this newsletter.  Please print anf fill out the survey and enclose your check and mail. Meeting attendance is not mandatory, but come and get to know your neighbors!
